Chicken prosciutto pasta tossed in a creamy parmesan garlic sauce. A simple and savory weeknight dinner the whole family can enjoy!

This recipe comes together fast, for a tasty meal that the whole family can enjoy! Cooking the chicken first, and then making the sauce after in the same pan, allows the sauce to soak up all that good flavor from the chicken. After that, you just have to mix in the cooked noodles, and it is all done!

I love this recipe because the ingredients for the sauce are super simple. I usually have most of them on hand already! This really hits the spot when you are craving a comfort food pasta dish.

Ingredients for Chicken Prosciutto Pasta

Butter: Added to the sauce for a rich flavor.

Flour: Whisked with the butter to thicken the sauce.

Garlic: Minced and added to the sauce for flavor.

Milk or Heavy Cream: The creamy part of the sauce, the heavy cream will give the sauce a richer and creamier flavor. If you have to use milk, used whole milk so the sauce is not too watery tasting.

Chicken Breast: Thinly sliced and cooked before adding into the pasta. Use a boneless, skinless chicken breast.

Prosciutto: Added in while making the sauce, gives a subtle salty and meaty flavor to the dish.

Peas: Frozen peas work the best, they will not get mushy like the canned peas.

Penne Pasta: Any kind of tube or corkscrew pasta will work with this recipe. Rigatoni pasta, mostaccioli pasta, or cavatappi pasta are all good choices.

Parmesan Cheese: Fresh shredded parmesan cheese will give you the best flavor.
