A peach cobbler recipe that is sweet and easy.  Comes together fast using fresh, canned, or frozen peaches.

This is another oldie but goodie recipe from my family. I am not sure how far back this one goes, all I know is that the recipe card was super worn and torn, so you know that means it got used a lot!

So this recipe is pretty simple…just make a batter mix, pour it in a pan, then pour the peaches over the top and bake! This comes out with a bit of a cake like texture with the top getting a golden brown color. Super yummy when paired with ice cream of course!!

So my mom was babysitting our dog and house while we went on vacation, and when I came home I found a freezer full of peaches! She said that she had extra and that I should just keep them all…so I was like..what should I make with all these peaches!!?? I dug around in my recipe box and up popped a peach cobbler recipe. I was actually super excited to make this because my only other thought was to make a peach pie..and that takes way more time than this peach cobbler recipe.

Since my mom had already sliced and froze the peaches all I had to do was let them defrost a bit and make the batter part. Super fast and easy! I used frozen peaches this time, but fresh or canned peaches would work as well!

Ingredients for Peach Cobbler

7 cups peaches, sliced

1 1/4 cup flour

1 cup sugar

1 cup milk

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

1/8 teaspoon cinnamon

dash of salt

1/4 cup brown sugar

1/2 stick butter (1/4 cup)

How to make Peach Cobbler

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

In a bowl add the flour, sugar, milk, baking powder, vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt.

Mix together to make a batter.

In a 9 x 13 pan melt the 1/2 stick of butter in the warm oven.

Slice up the peaches, I left the skins on mine.

Pour the batter into the pan with the butter, then layer the peaches on top.

Sprinkle the brown sugar over the top of the peaches and bake for 45-60 minutes.

You want it a nice and golden brown color and the batter is not to be runny but firm.

Serve warm with ice cream on the side for a delicious and fast dessert!
