Ingredients for Apple Fritters
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 Tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 of an apple, peeled, cored, and cubed
1/2 cup apple juice or orange juice
1 cup oil ( for frying)
1/4 cup powdered sugar ( for the topping at the end)
How to make Apple Fritters
Beat the eggs in a mixer, then add the sugar gradually.
Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt together.
Peel and core the apple and then slice it up into small cubes. If you would like more apple in your fritters feel free to add the whole apple and not just the half.
Add the melted butter and the apples to the egg mixture and stir together.
Add in the flour mixture, alternating with the apple juice, beginning and ending with the flour mixture.
Let the batter stand for 15 minutes.
Heat up some oil in a pan to 350 degrees.
Drop teaspoon or tablespoon fulls into the oil, depending on what size you want.
Keep rotating or flipping them until they are golden brown, 5 minutes or so, depending on the size.
Remove and let the excess oil drain off on paper towels.
Let cool for a bit and then sprinkle with powdered sugar.
