Super fast no bake peanut crunch candy, made with Captain Crunch Peanut Butter cereal and almond bark! Easy birthday and holiday treat!
This no bake peanut crunch candy is so easy, so fast, and so good! This is an absolute favorite of mine and also a newer recipe to the bunch.
I like to make these around the holidays to put on cookie trays that I hand out.
I especially like this recipe because it doesn’t require you to use the oven. All you need is a cool place to let them set.
This is helpful if you are making other recipes that require the oven that same day.
This is also an excellent one to have the kids help with! I always have to buy two boxes of cereal because my kids and my husband start eating it before I get to make the candy!

What kind of trays do I need to make No Bake Peanut Crunch Candy?
I usually use cookie trays or baking sheets to place these on to cool. However, I also have used plastic serving trays, regular plates, pizza pans…really anything works. It really depends on where you are cooling them at. If you pop them in the freezer for a few minutes you might need a smaller tray that fits in there instead of a big baking sheet.
Ingredients for No Bake Peanut Crunch Candy
- Captain Crunch Peanut Butter Cereal: The base of the candy and brings a crunchy texture to the candy.
- Peanut Butter: For peanut flavor and to make the candy creamy.
- White Almond Bark: Gives the candy the chocolate flavor and also hardens the candy when it is cooled.
- Roasted Peanuts: For peanut flavor and gives the candy a crunch texture as well. Use the unsalted kind.
How to make No Bake Peanut Crunch Candy
First, you want to gather all your ingredients, which is only 4! Captain crunch peanut butter cereal, peanut butter, unsalted peanuts, and white almond bark.
Next, measure out the cereal in a big bowl that is microwavable.
Then in another microwavable bow,l put in the almond bark and microwave in 30 second intervals until melted, stirring in between each 30 seconds.
When melted, add the peanut butter and mix till blended. Then pour over the cereal and mix till coated.
Then start adding the peanuts a little at a time stirring till mixed in.
Using a spoon or a cookie scoop, drop small spoonfuls on the cookie sheet.
Put trays in the refrigerator, freezer, or someplace cool to harden.
I usually make these around Christmas time and it is cold outside, so I put them out on the porch for a couple minutes.
Just a couple minutes is all it takes for them to set and harden.
They will be stuck to the tray a bit so to remove them gently press down and slide sideways and they should just pop off…and that’s it! So fast and easy!
What if the cereal mixture starts to harden before I am done making the candy?
If the cereal mixture starts to harden while you are still scooping it on the trays go ahead and pop the bowl(make sure it is microwavable!) back in the microwave for 20 or 30 seconds. Stir everything back together again, then start scooping out your candy piles again. Do this as much as necessary until you are done with the candy.
