Southwest chicken wraps with a zesty flavor, makes a quick and healthy lunch! Filled with lettuce, tomato, black beans, corn, and red pepper.
I order chicken wraps all the time at restaurants and love how tasty they are! I was always wondering how to recreate them at home. I tried many many times but failed miserably! They always tasted so bland..
Well I think I figured it out! These taste amazing, have so much flavor, and taste so much like something you would order from a restaurant.
So the trick is to cook the chicken in a southwest chicken taco seasoning first! Then layer all your favorites in the wrap and top it off with your favorite dressing. I use Primal Kitchen Ranch Dressing, Spicy Ranch Dressing, and have tried an avocado ranch dressing, and they are all amazing! Heat the whole thing a little, on a pan on the stovetop, and then it’s done!
I like to cook up a bunch of this chicken in the seasoning at the beginning of the week. Then when I need a quick lunch it’s just a matter of minutes before these are done. So quick and a good way to keep on track with eating healthy.
Make the Southwest Chicken Wraps Low Carb
You can also swap the tortilla for a low carb tortilla, or wrap it in lettuce for an even healthier version!
Also feel free to add any other ingredients you want, or omit ingredients you don’t like. I have added crumbled bacon, cheese, tortilla stirps, and cucumbers before! Usually whatever I have in my kitchen at the time is what I put in there.
